Grade 2A

I would like to welcome you to the official Grade 2A website. My name is Mrs. Kelly Berardesco and I am so very pleased to be able to teach such wonderful children and to inspire them to do their very best in all aspects of life. Our classroom is a very magical place, where learning is fun. The students learn Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. They are taught to think independently and to reason when given a problem to solve. The children are always on task, and are taught to be respectful, kind, and caring.

And now a little bit about myself. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, along with a Supervisor's certificate from Kean University.. I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have taught fifth grade, first grade, and presently, second grade. I have a deep love of teaching, but when I am away from the classroom, that love is directed to my husband and three beautiful children, who keep me busy.

My classroom theme for this year is :Grade 2A Super Heroes. Each child in my class will strive to become a super student and a super citizen. They will attain this through various projects and I will incorporate a Super Hero activity in each lesson that I teach.

The Special Classes Schedule is as follows:

Monday - Physical Education
Tuesday - Art
Wednesday - Music
Thursday - Physical Education
Friday - Library

If any parent wishes to contact me, please feel free to either e-mail me or log on to this website. I am always available to speak to you because you are the parent of a Super Hero and we only want what's best for your child.
