My name is Anna Morella and I am the Basic Skills Teacher at Schools #3 and #7.
I teach Math (Grades 3 & 4) and Reading (Grade 4) at School #3 and I also teach Math (Grades 1-5) at School #7. I provide math and reading intervention services to my students so they can overcome their obstacles in these subject areas while making the learning process FUN! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year in order to make them a successful math and reading student!
There's an exciting new development happening in the Belleville Public Schools for the 2016-2017 school year! I am very excited about the Wonders ELA series that will now serve as a means to drive our reading instruction. I am very eager to work with the teachers and students as we begin to implement this new reading program as well as continue to work with the enVisionmath 2.0 series!
As we embark on this school year, please support your young reader and mathematician to read on a daily basis as well as practice their basic math facts (Grades 1-2: addition and subtraction; Grades 3-5: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). You can find reading and math reinforcement activities provided in the section labeled "LINKS" (under the respective subject areas) right on my teacher webpage. These links will direct you to interactive reading and math games where your child can reinforce their fluency and comprehension skills as well as basic math facts and much, much more! What better way to reinforce your child's reading and math skills than through the use of games! FUN!!!
I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding school year as your child develops the necessary skills and utilizes various strategies to become a successful young reader and mathematician!
