"Kicking Off Read Across America with Dr. Seuss!"

Read Across America is a national reading awareness and motivation initiative set forth by the National Education Association. Schools across the country use Read Across America to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with fun and exciting programs designed to help kids learn to love reading. At #7 we had many guest speakers read to our students for RAA. We also celebrated the occasion with fun Dr. Seuss themed hats!

You SNOWed me Kindness

During the winter months, School Seven wanted to catch students being incredibly helpful, nice and compassionate to his/her classmates and other students/adults in the school.  Students that were caught in the act of kindness received a certificate and a snowflake.  The snowflakes were displayed on a bullentin board titled "You SNOWed me Kindness" outside the office.  We received so many snowflakes, we needed second bullentin board which is almost filled!  Students certificates are displayed outside/inside the classrooms or sent home.

Annual Macy's Believe Campaign

Grades K, 1, 2 and PLD K-2 participated in the Annual Macy's Believe campaign.  Macy's donated $1 to Make-A-Wish for each letter sent.
