My name is Ashley Fontanez and I am very excited to be a Resource/Inclusion Teacher to help students in different classes/grade-levels continue to grow as learners.
I am a proud Buccaneer (Class of '09) and extremely honored to now teach in Belleville alongside some of my favorite teachers turned colleagues. After graduating from Belleville High, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education (NJCU, '15) with dual certifications in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (MSU, '20) and a Supervisor's Certification.
During my seven years at School Seven, I have served as a paraprofessional, taught Kindergarten and Self-contained (LLD 3-6), and been an active member of our school community serving on various committees. I had the privilege of being our school's 2019-2020 Governor's Educator of the Year.
I believe every child can learn and it is my responsibility as their teacher to teach them in the way they learn best!
